Who we are
Libra Cleaning Company is a cleaning company based in Nottingham. We are responsible for the information you send us when you apply to clean with us.

What we collect
When you apply, we collect:
- your name
- your house name or number and postcode
- your mobile number
- your email address
- your photo ID: your passport data page or UK driving licence
- your DBS certificate
- the date, time and internet address when you agree to this notice
Why we use it
We use your information to decide whether to offer you work, including checking your identity and that you're safe to work in people's homes.
We do this because it's in our legitimate interests, and because these are steps we take before entering a contract with you.
The information on a DBS certificate is criminal offence data. We handle it only to assess whether you're suitable to work in people's homes and businesses, as the law allows.
Who sees it
- Only Libra's team, through our secure system.
- Your documents are stored encrypted in the UK or EU, and are never public.
- Each time a member of staff opens one of your documents, it's recorded.
- We never sell your information.
How long we keep it
If your application doesn't go ahead, we delete your documents after 6 months.
If you start working with us, we keep them while you work with us and for a set time after, which we'll tell you when you start.
When you work with us
If you clean for us, you use the Libra Jobs app to see your visits and to clock in and out.
When you tap Clock in or Clock out, the app reads your phone's location once and sends it to us with the time. It never reads your location at any other time, and nothing is tracked in the background.
We use this to check you were at the client's address, so we can show the visit happened and pay you for the time. If you clock in or out with a reason instead, we keep the reason too.
Only Libra's team sees these records. Clients never see your location or your clock times.
We keep clock times for 2 years and delete the locations after 90 days.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- show you the information we hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong
- delete your information
- stop using your information, if you object to how we use it
- stop using your information where you gave us consent, if you withdraw it
